Even with the nut not visible on the wheel you should replace your old ones. Nuts with a used and damaged thread can easily damage your brand new bolts.
These nuts are to help everybody who is refurbishing his modular wheels. The nuts are available without serration.
Quality and safety:
In Germany these bolts are used to assemble TUV approved wheels. Such bolts are safety critical. Also the process of assembly. The nuts must be tightened to 24Nm. There is no need to use Loctite.
Tooling:
These nuts come with a 10mm hex to fit any easy obtainable socket.
